A Very Rough Route Plan

This is the very rough route plan. Nothing is fixed in stone (ie: we haven’t booked any tickets!) so it is all subject to change depending on weather, time, finances, will, geopolitical unrest etc.

The itinerary:

  1. Family holiday Annecy, wedding in London.
  2. Depart Annecy approx late July 2016.
  3. Cycle to Istanbul. ~3500km, ~4 months
  4. Post bikes back and fly to India. Pootle around Rajastan, Kerala etc. 2-3 months
  5. Fly to SE Asia. Pootle around 2-3 months.
  6. Fly to Adelaide. Catch up with family. ~1-2 months
  7. Visit the South Pacific. ??? may not be feasible given time and cost
  8. Fly to Japan. Visit friends and pootle around. ~2 months
  9. Fly to USA/Canada. Visit family.
  10. Probably not visit Cuba and Carribean – running out of time and it would be better with bikes.
  11. Back to London and then home to Montpellier in time for the new school year September 2017.

Already the maths doesn’t work so some revisions to the schedule will be necessary.
