An icy pool of sky-blue water,
Surrounded by endless snow.
Pushing someone in would be manslaughter,
Though it’s ever so shallow.
Surrounded by endless snow,
Icebergs scattered around, afloat.
Though it’s ever so shallow.
And it’s remote.
Icebergs scattered around, afloat.
The peace all around, the frosty air,
And it’s remote.
Never mind you’ve seen a bear.
The peace all around, the frosty air.
So warm- that will never falter.
Never mind you’ve seen a bear.
An icy pool of sky-blue water.

What a super description and poem, Sascha! I hope it was a friendly bear you saw! X
We didn’t actually see a bear, but we saw bear prints and bear poo.
Hey Sascha, I’ve enjoyed reading it, thanks.
What does falter mean? 🏔💙 . Where is it? Canada?
Hugs x
It’s in the Rocky Mountains in Canada and I don’t quite know how to explain what falter means.
Excellent description Sascha!I wish I had you in my new Year 7 class! Love to you all. X

I love the way you use the second line each time to start the next stanza (i think that’s the right term). Great poetry Sascha!! Can’t wait to see you all…. xxxxxx
