Vatika Resort Ranthambore gets a thumbs up from us. It is a small group of about ten one room cottages on the outskirts of Sawai Madhopur on the way to the park. It is tidy, clean and well kept generally. The staff are friendly and quite helpful. The food is ok, fairly unimaginative, but reasonably priced.

Room

We had a large room with extra beds which was comfortable for us five. What is best is that there is a small outdoor space with lawn and trees where the boys can run around and we can sit around. In the evening the are small campfire lit so it is a pleasure to sit out under the stars, drink tea, and chat with other residents.

Safari

Recommend to let the staff arrange any safaris. You pay maybe 200 INR more but it removes a lot of hassles and waiting about.

Summary :

• Room: 2400 INR/night incl breakfast.
• Meals : about 1000 INR/day for all of us.
• Tea: 25 INR/cup.
• WiFi: reliable ~1 Mbps.
